The Pack

Paul Pondella: Paul has beenPaul giving some icecream to Allie and Shadow rescuing wild animals and bringing them to safety all his life. His big heart has grown to love wolves; he has become a champion to their plight. Paul hand-raised these wolf hybrids from just days old. He has invested hundreds of hours training them for this children's program; they are trained for film and television as well.

Colette Duvall: Colette has been teaching and facilitating Colette and Takodachildren's programs since high school. She is a natural with these beautiful animals. She is dedicated to them and wants to make sure they are known, respected and appreciated for their invaluable contribution. This program will help the future of wolves tremendously.

Shadow: Shadow, our inspiration, was born on February 1, 2005. Shadow and EmilyShe is an Alaskan Timber Wolf with a wild spirit and a gentle heart. She is stunning. She is the Alpha female of the pack and loves all of humanity, especially children. A cancer survivor, she teaches us all with her amazing courage.
Allie: Allie is short for Alaska.Jesse and Allie Born April 15, 2005 she is also an Alaskan Timber Wolf. Allie is an exceptional pupil and loves to perform. She is dedicated, proficient and statuesque...she aims to please and is a great teacher and protector. She is a shining Star.

Takoda: Takoda means "friend to everyone" in Native American Souix. Takoda He is the newest member of the pack. He was born February 1, 2009; the same birthday as Shadow. He will follow in Shadow and Allie's footsteps. With their help, he will proudly play his part in this informative program.


Curriculum

This exciting 90 minute program is filled with everything science has taught us about wolves. Paul and ShadowSince they were re-introduced and released in Yellowstone National Park in 1995 and 1996 after a 75 year absence, it has been proven that the wolves' presence is crucial to the balance of the ecosystem. Simply put, the park without the wolves isn't natural and other species suffer as a result.
